Judgmental Dad Receives Clapbacks For Complaining Childfree People Don't Realize How Much Free Time They Have

There are a lot of things about the idea of parenthood that scare me, and one of those is how the concept of time changes. I've heard enough accounts from parents to realize that having babies and little kids takes up 99% of your day, sometimes to the extent you can barely fit in a shower.

I'm going to be generous and say that this sacrifice is counteracted by the positive parts about having a family, but as it stands I enjoy having all my time to myself. I'm very grateful for my current freedom to be lazy, but somebody who isn't happy about that has recently been catching heat on Twitter. A dad has gone viral for claiming that "people without kids [don't] understand how much free time they have". He also gave a prescriptive list of everything the childfree should apparently be doing with those extra hours in a day.

It didn't take long for parents and nonparents alike to take issue with his damning judgment. We all have a right to do nothing occasionally, whether it's a luxury for us or not.
